From London to Southampton

There are approximately three direct trains every hour from Waterloo Station, London to Southampton Central Station with the journey time taking 1 hour 20 minutes. At the Southampton Central Station take a taxi to the National Oceanography Centre. For train timetables and fares visit:

Unilink bus routes U1C, U1A, U1E and U1W travel directly to the National Oceanography Centre.

There is a Uni-Link Bus service (U1C) which starts at Southampton City Airport, travels to Southampton Central train station, then travels directly to the National Oceanography Centre.

  • Current fares: £2 single, £3.70 return (return tickets allow unlimited travel all day on all Uni-Link Services)
  • The journey from Southampton City Airport to the NOC takes approximately 45 minutes.
  • The journey from Southampton Central train station to the NOC takes approximately 10 minutes.
